Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey

Chassagne-Montrachet, France

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey is one of the most influential winemakers of modern Burgundy. Based in Chassagne-Montrachet, he runs an independent estate that has earned an international reputation for precision, clarity and terroir-rich wines in a short period of time.

After working at the family winery, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey founded his own winery in 2005 together with his wife Caroline Morey. Since then, white wines of exceptional tension and structure have been produced here — in particular from Chassagne-Montrachet, Saint-Aubin, Puligny-Montrachet and Meursault. The portfolio is complemented by finely nuanced red wines, which impress with their finesse and transparency.

Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey thus stands for a new generation of Burgundian winemakers: consistently crafted, stylistically independent and with a deep understanding of the terroir. His wines are now regarded as a reference for modern, purist Chardonnay interpretations from Burgundy.
